PINOY POWERVIOLENCE DEMO!

If you don't already know, they are Filipino powerviolence from Southern California straight out of the suburbs of Duarte (the city itself is practically a suburb) and play shows pretty much anywhere so just let you know. they have a demo out that recorded in January at Ample Studios which they're not totally satisfied with but its still good so make sure you check that out. they recently recorded songs at Tom's Recording Studio for the upcoming split ep with Field Trip!(insane fastcore from La Puente) on Go! Records which is coming out really soon. they're also planning splits with Mutilated Pork Guts and the Scrotums.

GODSTOMPER - ART DAMAGED MASOCHISTS VOL.1

Hailing from Sunnyvale,Godstomper are noise musicians who support lo-fi audio , do it yourself recordings and anti rockstar, popularity, political and religious attitude. Starting in 1991 Two man grind played Bass And Drums with abandon and an almost carefree whimsy.
(in a brutal,rip-off-your-head-and-shove-it-down -your-esophagus kinda way). It's obvious their music is pretty much a piss take but that is part of the charm. Plus it is heavy as hell, bash and crash, crunch and grind...

On other hand That has some good and bad points. The good is that the raging bass and blistering drums are right in your face with all the rawness intact but none of the muddiness found on their other stuff. The bad is that with the new found clarity some of the limitations of only having two instruments (plus vox) are painfully obvious. In spite of the noisy, finger frying fret work of the bass and the double bass machine gun of the drums the sound is sometimes thin.

SANITY DAWN / YACOPSAE - SPLIT LP

Yacopsae are one of, if not, the fastest bands in the world but quite a lot of the stuff here is a tad slower and more grind. I say that because they have a sound of their own and they should stick to it in my opinion. But this is still great stuff - fast as fuck and with their trademark short gaps in the songs to catch you out. Sanity's Dawn play a mix of hardcore and powerviolence with 2 singers. They crush you into oblivion. At times they remind me of Spazz and I probably enjoyed their side.

ROSENBOMBS - S/T 7INCH

Yet another Bay Area fast attack, this time full-on, unrelenting 1000mph distorted thrash not unlike SEIGE or CROSSED OUT. No metal, no fluff, just pure pissed off hardcore..If you like xBRAINIAx you might like this as well..recommended.

SANITY DAWN / MAGRUDERGRIND - SPLIT 7INCH

Ok i already posted this split in my previous post, but i decided to upload it once again in a different link and for the sake of asian tour of MAGRUDERGRIND!.(I am fucking excited for this fucking show.)

Aggressive straight up grindcore/powerviolence from both bands. Screaming, thrashing, chugging, and grooving. Magrudergrind and Sanitys Dawn batter over their sound with a pace and intensity that mixes early Yacopsae, Stack, Morose and Discordance Axis. Some nice breaks and slower parts diversify things on both sides.

ARSEDESTROYER /ABSTAIN SPLIT

Arsedestroyer is the mother of all chaotic noisecore. Their selftitled MCD consists of 21 slabs of extreme, brutal, pulverising noisecore. It also includes a live recording from "Hardcore Holocaust" in Gothenburg, 940601.
Don't forget to check out their split-ep with Confusion, also released on Distortion records.

Abstain was a band playing a very fast and brutal kind of grindcore mixed with old school hardcore, call it power violence if you like. They released quite some things over the years of their existence and shared the stage with bands like Agathocles, Drop Dead, Arsedestroyer, Denak, Exhumed, Code 13, Destroy!, Comrades, Rotten Sound, Spazz, Capitalist Casualties, Phobia, Pig Destroyer and Extreme Noise Terror to name a few. They disbanded around 2000 after being to much on the road with each..

HERO DISHONEST - Let Your Poison Scream

We sold our souls to the Devil in the '80s. Hero Dishonest has been together since 1999. We've recorded some pretty awesome shit, some crap and one demo. We've played in jazz bars, squats, basements and huge rock arenas... and we rocked them all. Like bad smell, line-up changes are inevitable. We've had our share, now continuing as a well oiled four piece. We exist to make noise, to have good time, to play sweaty shows, to kick and scream, to dance, to communicate, to arouse questions, to turn this bitter place into a bit more joyful, to record honest music, to meet insipiring people, to inspire people, to eat, sleep, fart and to go back on the stage again... We still feel this way and it's still heeps and shit loads of fun!!! (Except those sixhunderd and sixty six times when we had to fix the goddamn van.)

SPAZZ - Crush,Kill,Destroy

The final full-length release by this unholy trio from California. For those who have no idea, Spazz were the undisputed OG's of west coast powerviolence in the 1990's. They took the sound pioneered by bands like Crossed Out and No Comment and added a unique blend of self-referential humor to create a hilarious but brutal genre.

While most Powerviolence is an amlagamation of slow moshy-parts mixed with blastbeat insanity, Spazz's final studio album forgoes a lot of the slow parts and gets straight to the killing.
